Behzad Savabi

Co-founder

Behzad is a software engineer and design system architect with over 12 years of experience building advanced web and mobile interfaces. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Aalto University. At Nokia, he serves as Technical Architect for the Design System. He also works as a software engineer at Netradar.

At SAVE, Behzad leads product design and technical architecture, bringing his background in privacy-aware system design and cross-platform development to build technology that makes sustainable habit change accessible and trustworthy for everyday users.

What we're building

SAVE has two parts. The app rewards lower-carbon everyday choices with Green Points — travel, food and shopping today — suggests realistic lower-carbon alternatives, and measures progress against your own starting point rather than an average. The dashboard lets an organization run campaigns with its people and follow the combined results, never anyone's personal data.

The beta is open for invites on Android and iPhone. Pilot partnerships with organizations are free while the product is in development.

How we work

Privacy is a design constraint. Journeys, routes and meals are stored only on your phone. Score calculations and typed descriptions are processed on our server and not retained, and an organization only ever sees aggregate results.

We say what we don't know. Which choices count as lower-impact comes from published emission factors, and we are open about the assumptions and the limits. The app is not a CO2 calculator: it rewards change with Green Points rather than claiming a precise footprint.

SAVE is being developed in collaboration with GT4T and SAMK Venture Science Center — working alongside mentors, researchers, and innovators across five EU regions since the project's earliest stages.

A Europe-wide initiative uniting universities, innovators, and entrepreneurs to turn research into real-world solutions — driving sustainability, digital transformation, and deep-tech growth across Europe.

GT4T has mentored SAVE since its earliest stages, connecting the project to its network spanning five EU regions: Finland, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Türkiye.

SAMK — Satakunta University of Applied Sciences

SAMK Venture Science Center

An interdisciplinary innovation hub at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, where ideas are developed into concrete outcomes through cross-institutional collaboration, entrepreneurship, and research.

Part of the GT4T project, the center connects SAVE to a network of students, researchers, and faculty — as well as international partners through the DIVERSE University Alliance.
