Delete your account
You can delete your SAVE account at any time. Here are both ways to do it.
If you still have the app
This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open SAVE and go to Settings
- Scroll to Account
- Tap Delete account and confirm
If you have uninstalled the app
Email save@lesstrace.com from the address you used to sign up, and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm once it is done, within 30 days and normally much sooner.
We ask you to write from the address on the account so that nobody else can request deletion on your behalf.
What gets deleted
- Your account: email address, name, and password hash
- Your sign-in sessions on every device
This is permanent. Deleted accounts cannot be restored, and you would need to register again to use SAVE.
What was never on our servers
Your journeys and their location data are stored on your own device, not on our servers. When the app calculates your sustainability score it sends the history to us, we perform the calculation, return the result, and discard the data. There is therefore no journey history for us to delete.
To remove the journeys held on your phone, uninstall the app or clear its storage in your device settings.
